Accepting new clients for Equine Therapy & Trauma-informed Yoga

Kristin Green

Hi, I am Kristin Green a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have been working in mental health for 20 years and the experiences I acquired during these decades ranges from children to advanced aged adults.

Specialties include working with families, children with special needs and individuals who have been or are in the foster care system. Through a trauma informed lens the integration of cognitive behavior therapy, gestalt, narrative practice, mindfulness, yoga therapy and equine therapy are used to create a specialized and experiential approach to each individual served.

As a clinical supervisor I enjoying working with associates, supervising hours for licensing while using my extensive experience to encourage and support the growth and development of therapists. The associates supervised are trained in EMDR and expressive arts engaging in trauma informed care.

I specialize in EMDR for adults and teenagers struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD & Trauma. I work with both single-event and multiple event trauma. You’ve survived enough. Now you’re ready to heal. Maybe you understand why you feel the way you do, but insight alone hasn’t changed the patterns, reactions, or wounds that keep showing up. You may feel stuck in anxiety, trauma responses, relationship patterns, low self-worth, or an exhausting cycle of simply trying to cope. I work with people who are ready to move beyond managing symptoms and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

I specialize in EMDR and trauma-focused therapy, integrating EMDR with depth psychology, expressive arts, and other evidence-based approaches to help you process what happened without having to relive it. My approach is collaborative, experiential, and personalized to you, because healing isn't one-size-fits-all.

Therapy with me is about more than reducing symptoms. It’s about understanding the deeper roots of your experiences, reconnecting with yourself, and creating the freedom to live differently. If you’re ready to stop letting the past dictate your present, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Even if you appear high functioning on the outside, internally you may feel overwhelmed by stress, stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, or disconnected from who you are and what you want out of life. Sometimes these feelings grow slowly over time, while other times they can be traced back to trauma or past childhood experiences that made it difficult to feel safe, worthy, supported, and accepted. My work focuses on overcoming these challenges, helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, life transitions, and trauma recovery in a space that nurtures curiosity, validates through insight, and supports growth.

My therapy style is warm, validating, insight-oriented, and collaborative. I take a trauma-informed and somatic-based approach, integrating EMDR, IFS, CBT, ACT, art therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients process painful memories, better understand themselves and their patterns, and take steps toward lasting and meaningful change.

I'm here to offer a safe and compassionate space to unpack, process, and heal so you can reconnect with who you are and what you want out of life. You're welcome to reach out to me anytime for your free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your goals and to explore next steps.

Every person is valuable and deserves dignity and healing. I believe the soul gravitates toward wholeness and that each of us holds answers that lead to growth. When you are given a safe space to explore your authentic self, real change becomes possible. My role is to create that space—grounded in trust, acceptance and compassion—so you can be fully seen and understood.

I specialize in four core areas that often intersect: psycho-oncology, trauma, meaning and purpose, and bereavement. A hallmark of my work in cancer care is reframing dying from cancer to dealing with cancer. I help clients move from fear to strength with EMDR trauma therapy, CBT, person-centered, narrative and logotherapy to restore hope and direction.

If you’re navigating cancer treatment, healing from past or present trauma, seeking meaning or grieving a loss you’re not alone. Together we’ll set clear goals and build practical skills that bring calm, connection and control. When you’re ready, reach out and let’s begin—I look forward to connecting.
